North Augusta SC Wedding Photographer | Emetra and Chad

I'm pretty sure it was close to love at first sight for Emetra and Chad.  From that first moment in the check out line, to Chad getting on one knee at The Georgia Aquarium, to their wedding day a few weeks ago, they have exuded love for each other.

I met Emetra and Chad earlier this year and we hit it off right away.  I loved hearing their love story and learning about how Chad planned an amazing proposal for Emetra.  I was so excited to photograph their engagement session, Emetra's bridal session, and their wedding day.   Their family and friends were so nice to work with and we all had a blast at the reception.

Here is a sneak preview and I hope you enjoy these images!

Augusta GA Maternity Photographer | Shipp Family

This was a very special photo shoot for me.  I was able to photograph my brother and sister-in-law!  They are due to have their first baby at the end of October and we wanted to go out and grab a few shots before the baby comes.  I can't wait to show off the newborn pictures (i'm sure there will be tons) and it will be exciting to announce on here if I have a niece or nephew!  It is going to be a great surprise for our families and we can't wait to have a little one around.   Enjoy this sneak peek!

Laura Ann is so beautiful and is gorgeous pregnant!  She is definitely all baby.

Ryan still isn't used to giving kisses when his sister is around, but I just love this image!  They will be great parents.

Congratulations Ryan and Laura Ann and I can't wait until this baby shows up!  Love y'all!

Augusta GA Family Photographer | Starcher Family

I love this little family and was so excited to do another photo session with them.  The last time we did a session, Olivia was 9 months old and just learning to walk.  She is now 2 and so much fun to be around!  I hope you enjoy these images!

She is growing up so fast!

She is definitely Danielle's heart and is going to compete in the Iron Man one day (just like her daddy did the day after this shoot)

Brandon (my husband) was on Olivia duty while we took some shots of just mom and dad!

Never too old for kisses from momma

Never too old to dance with daddy

Olivia at 9 months (left) and Olivia at 2 years (right)... Momma and Daddy don't have to bend over any more to help Olivia walk.  Love seeing how much she has grown!

Augusta GA Military Homecoming Photography | Justin, Liz, and Madison

You may remember this family from my facebook page, or the waiting at home session I photographed earlier this summer.  If not, here is a little back story!
I first met Justin and Liz back in 2011 when they booked me to photograph their March 2012 wedding.   We had the best time at their engagement session in the fall of 2011 and again at their March 2012 wedding at Enterprise Mill in Augusta, Georgia.  I figured the next session they would probably see me for would be when the time came for their family to grow!  Little did we all know, Justin would get deployed in the winter of 2012.  After I photographed my first homecoming in March, I knew that I wanted to be there when Justin came home.  I messaged Liz and the plan was set in motion!  I got the call the other week and after a very long 9 months for everyone here state side and for Justin serving our Country overseas, he got to come home!  Please enjoy!

Everything was decorated and ready for the soldiers to return.

There was a lot of nervous hand holding, looking at watches, texting, and passing the time anyway possible.

Receiving this text made Liz light up!  She was so excited and so ready to see Justin.

Seeing each other in person carries a wide array of emotions.  I'm so glad I was able to capture each of them!

Madison took off running when they released the soldiers, Justin took off running when they were released.  It was a special moment when the two met in the middle of the gym.  Liz was able to get in a few smiles!

Liz and Justin finally got that kiss they waited almost 10 months for.

The next few minutes were full of hugs, smiles, tears, laughter, and kisses!

This is what happens when you hire a hilarious photographer!   Justin and Liz wouldn't stop staring at each other.  I wanted to get just one shot of them looking at the camera... I finally said "Y'all can stare at each other all night, but please look at the camera for just one second"   yep laughter from both of them!

Madison was very excited to have Justin home.

Finally a family of 3 again.  Justin, I'm so glad you are back and safe with your loved ones and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for serving and protecting our Country and Freedom.

If you are deployed, deploying, have a family member overseas, or know someone that is.. send me an email! I can let you know how you can receive a free military session with me!  I promise it is 100% free and no strings attached.  I do this as a small thank you to the men and women who serve in our military and their families.

A Military Homecoming- Augusta Georgia Photography

I have been wanting to photograph a military homecoming for a while. At the beginning of the year, I got a wedding inquiry from a guy stationed overseas. He was helping his fiancee look for wedding photographers. I was able to meet with Amanda and her mom and I was so excited when she said she would call me when DJ came home!!! We had the best time awaiting the soldiers arrival and it was such a sweet moment when Amanda and DJ's family got to hug him! If you have a military homecoming you would like me to photograph, just send me an email!!  Enjoy the photos and make sure you support our men and women in the armed forces!

There was a lot of waiting around!

The buses pulling up outside, caused the whole crowd to erupt with happiness.

The moment Amanda saw DJ was precious and I definitely cried!

Such sweet moments

Amanda and DJ, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph this special moment!  I can't wait until your wedding day.

New Blog!!!

Welcome to Kimberly S. Busby Photography's new blog!  This has been a long time coming and I'm sorry it has taken so long to get it up and running.  I will slowly be adding posts from the past year that I never blogged and will start blogging new things!    Please enjoy and let me know if you are looking for a photographer!
